The Lower Grange Farm Story
In August 2009 Kent Scouts purchased Lower Grange Farm which was a derelict farm in the centre of Kent in Maidstone with good close road links and huge potential for development.
You can read all about how we have developed this site so far and how you can help. Our vision is to make it a leading centre for youth with the plans we have.
In 2012 we started to build the Climbing Barn which is now open and available for use. We documented the build of it though all its stages until it was officially opened by Kenton Cool on June 29th 2014.
We aim to give every young person an appreciation for the sport of climbing and develop their skills to allow them to climb all over the world. We do hold open sessions for non scouting adults to come and climb. You can find out more and how book on the Lower Grange Website.
