What was We Shape Kent 2021?
Youth Shaped Scouting is a vital part of the development of Scouting at all stages in a young person’s Scouting adventure. The delivery of youth shaped activities and events is also important for leaders too. Between the 23rd – 29th August 2021, the Kent Scouts Youth Shaped Team launched their first ever virtual youth conference ‘We Shape Kent’ for young people and adults.
What did We Shape Kent involve?
The week of events were completely free for everyone and included:
- Exciting youth shaped activities for our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts across the week.
- An opportunity for Explorers and Young Leaders to take part in a collective youth forum virtually.
- Live sessions for Explorers and Scout Network members about their next steps and moving forwards in Scouting.
- Live sessions for our Adult volunteers on embedding youth shaped Scouting in programmes, as well as an insight into youth shaped governance.
