County Show 2006

Kent Scouts had a massive stand in Murrain Wood showcasing a whole host of activities that young people and adults can access in Scouting.

The climbing tower was very popular and lots of young people had a chance to conquer their fears and have a go at this challenging activity.

Over 100 members from the Kent Contingent invaded the 2006 Kent Show.

From early Friday morning to late on Sunday contingent members took it in turn to man the Contingent stall as part of a weekend camp, held at Bexon Lane.

Dressed in Contingent t-shirts and Kent scarves they raised awareness of the 21st World Scout Jamboree and the Scouting Centenary year in 2007.

Lots of people took part in the Contingents Scalextric competition racing to get the fastest lap time to win a scalextrics set kindly donated by Hornby.

Everyone on the stand also got a chance to explore the County Show and came back with lots of ideas, goodies and of course ice cream!!!
