Romney Marsh Scouts in Wildlife Yoga Challenge
Romney Marsh Scouting is a very crazy place to be!! During June some crazy Scouting people have been involved in a Wildlife Yoga Challenge. Scout Leaders and their families joined thousands of people across the UK taking part in the Wildlife Trust’s annual nature challenge 30 DAYS WILD.
Encouraged to do one wild thing a day for health, well-being and for the planet - DC Janet issued the Wildlife Yoga Challenge where Leaders had to strike various animal poses and create some of their own. After a few arm bending conversations Leaders got their imaginations to work and went to town creating some strange and interesting poses!! Flamingos, adders, butterflies, mice and seals featured heavily plus one or two that were unrecognisable!!
Yoga Champions and undisputed Winners of the Challenge were GSL, Amanda and CSL, Richard from 1st St Mary’s Bay, along with their children Freya and Aimee. They celebrated with a Special Formal Weekend Dine at Home Night with Perfect Pizza, & Choc Gateau on the menu. They also received a framed certificate and celebrity status in RM Scouting!
Sharing her thoughts Amanda stated the Challenge had been fun and got the whole family and Team St Mary’s Bay Leaders involved. We had a great laugh and the girls really enjoyed our Dine at Home Night which was an excellent prize.
Please note - No animals were harmed during this challenge, only a couple of inflexible adults!!
