Kent Cubs Trip to Disneyland, Paris 2017
We embarked on the 5th Kent Cub trip to Disneyland, Paris at the end of January 2017. 82 very excited Cubs and Leaders gathered at the two departure points for a fabulous weekend of fun and friends!
Two coaches, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck left Maidstone services with Mickey Mouse making a stop over at Folkestone 24 services to pick up Packs from Ashford, Faversham and Folkestone. Donald Duck coach had a group photo taken just before they left - Packs from Kingsdown, Sheppey and Crockenhill were on board.
We had a good journey to the Davy Crockett ranch which was home for a couple of nights! A late night for everyone, but an early start the next day meant that we made the most of our time in Disneyland. The Packs all quickly disbursed to go for the rides and shows - but were easily spotted in the park thanks to the red hats and bags! The parade was the highlight for some as they got close to their favourite characters.
We met again early evening to go to the Buffalo Bill show in the Disney village. A wonderful show with cowboys, indians and of course Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Great fun was had by all. Following the show most hit the shops! Loads to choose from and the challenge of spending euros for some.
The next day we went into the Walt Disney Studio Park where some went on roller coasters, saw the stunt show or parachuted with the toy soldiers - something for everyone.
We left on time and arrived home safely. A great time was had by all.
Over the past 12 years we have taken over 1100 Cubs and Leaders to Disneyland - a super International experience for young people. They hear different languages, use foreign money and experience lots of cultures in the parks. We've had fun over the last 12 years!
