Kent International Jamboree 2017
The Kent International Jamboree 2017 was an International camp held at the County Show Ground in Maidstone Kent. Scouts and Guides from across the globe came to to take part in seven days of fun, friends and adventure between the 29th July and 5th August 2017.

In the evening, there was entertainment put on in Section Zones, as well as Sub camp activities, performances on the Main Stage with entertainment and food stalls in the KIJ Village.
The subcamps were
Across the seven days at the jamboree, young people had the chance to take part in Water, Land and Air Activities, as well as having the chance to visit Learn, Do, Explore and see the International Zones.
The Activities which took place during the day were:
Rebound - Giant Assault Course or bounce around on the Bouncy Castle.
Target - Archery and Rifle Shooting, or have some fun on our Laser Quest Field Game.
Creative - Wood Turners, Woggle Workshop and Glass Engravers and many other creative and crafts
Drive - This allowed people to have their first experience of driving a car under supervision and be taken around a 4x4 course.
The Woodland Challenge - Here people had the chance to Boulder, Climb, Traverse, Leap, Zip, Prussick and Stack to name a few along with the Kent Scouts Bag Drop.
Air - had a chance to fly in a microlight.
Splash - This took part at two offsite locations, Bewl Water and Moat Park.
Circus - The Festival Circus too part in a 600 seater circus tent. Contingents spent an hour in the circus, with a performance and time to learn how to juggle and balance!
Day Trips - Each Subcamp was allocated a day offsite and got goto London, Port Lympne Reserve, Hastings or Dover.
