Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT) took part on Saturday May 11th 2019

Tovil Scout Group

Tovil Scout Group participated in JOTT with a circular walk from Linton Church. The Scouts combined their weekend camp with the hike so walked from Tovil Scout HQ to and from Linton Church as well. The Beavers, Cubs, young leaders and leaders met them and we hiked around the deer park, taking in the beautiful views of the Kent Countryside, seeing lamas, deer, sheep, cows and all sorts of wildlife. Combined with activities and games on route, great fun was had by all.

St Paul’s Cub Pack

Cubs, Leaders and Young Leaders from St Paul’s Cub Pack (Maidstone East) and Oakwood Cub Pack (Maidstone West) joined together for JOTT-Jamboree on the Trail. This is an annual event enjoyed by Scouts from around the world, all hiking on the same day. The 7 mile, cross district hike was the organised by leaders who are cast members of Maidstone Gang Show. It started at East Farleigh train station and followed the Medway Valley Walk, stopping at Teston Country Park for lunch and a game of cricket before continuing along the river to Yalding.
