Macmillan Coffee Morning

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported us at the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan on Friday 27th September 2019.  The barn ws packed with people all enjoying coffee, tea and the most amazing cakes and biscuits.  Thank you to everyone who baked.

We ran a raffle and again a huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes - this alone raised £211 for this fabulous cause.  We sold books and people had a go at the Macmillan Berry Pie competition with Anne  guessing the exact amount of berries in the pie to win a bottle of bubbly. 

Sharon from Flamingo Paperie, came along and donated 10% of her sales to Macmillan too.  Sharon will be at our forthcoming Christmas fayre selling cards, wrapping paper etc.

Thanks for the support from Macmillan South East, Jane their South East co-ordinator who organised a photo shoot at the climbing barn which has featured in the run up to the day and Dominic from Macmillan Head Office who came along and helped.

The team worked hard throughout the morning serving cake and coffee and doing the inevitable washing up.  A great big thank you to everyone who helped along the way, be it setting up, volunteering to help, clearing up, counting the money.

We are delighted to say that we raised £500 exactly for Macmillan - the most we have ever raised.  Well done and thank you.
