St George's Day at Adamswell

600 people gathered at Adamswell to celebrate St George's Day in style.

The celebrations started with a train ride on the Spa Valley Railway, a heritage line which transported the parade from the town centre to the High Rocks, which is just a ten minute walk to from the campsite.

The members then enjoyed an afternoon of activities which included Ariel runway, rockets, first aid, fire brigade, police, crocodile and snake handling, trampoline, pillow bash, slides, bouncy castle, rodeo bull, archery, twists, marsh mallows, camp ovens, woggle making, laser tag and the list could go on.

After 4 hours of fun around the site the District assembled to renew their promises, and presented Nourish Community food bank with items donated by the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and leaders.  The amount of food donated will feed 40 families for a week.We then returned to the High Rocks for the return train ride.

The day was a huge success and people are already asking what will happen next year - watch this space.
