Beavers Winter Walks 2023

Over the weekend of the 4th and 5th Feb 2023 – nearly 200 Beaver Scouts and leaders enjoyed the now annual Kent Beaver Scouts Winter walks at Brockhill and Lullingstone Country Parks. We were blessed once again with lovely sunny weather and it was SMASHING to hear so many young people enjoying the outdoors and activities that the Rangers had set up for them.

At Brockhill the Beaver Scouts were challenged to making water proof Den’s, toasting marshmallows and warming up with hot chocolate plus foraging and making clay hedgehogs which then sat proudly on a wooden disc.

At Lullingstone the head Ranger here was also an Explorer leader and Tracey set up a trail / Scavenger hunt so that the Beavers could achieve their Explore badge, they enjoyed working with other colonies Den building, toasting marshmallows to make S’mores and also making either stick people or bracelets from Elder.

I am sure the photos etc on all Kent Beaver Scouts Social Media will evidence what great days everyone had. A selection are below.
