Treeemendous 2023

At Lower Grange Farm we are committed to planting 5000 Trees and hedgerow plants by 2025 to provide habitats for wild life, natural barriers to the motorway and to create camping areas.

The scheme, masterminded by the Scout Active Support team has already seen over 3000 planted in the space of three years and on a cold January day in 2023, more than 75 people turned up to help plant 1100 additional trees and plants.

This has taken out total planted to almost 4,500 - we are on target!   Thanks to I Dig Trees and the Woodland Trust for their support too in providing all the plants, stakes and spirals.

Thanks to everyone who turned up - we completed the task in just over two hours - a Treeeeemendous feat!
