Teas and Trees 2023

Members of the Scout Active Support from across the county came together to celebrate 75 years of Scout Active Support (in some guise or another!).  The BP Guild started in 1947/48 and attracted lots of members, changing into the Scout fellowship. More recently the change came to Scout Active Support and as such many Districts and Groups across Kent have a band of willing members who undertake volunteering in a whole host of spheres including camp site management and maintenance, Gang Shows, stepping into help where illness or shortage of adults is an issue, running evenings for groups with their speciality i.e. rope making as in the case of MAST and organising events for groups, districts and the county.

So to celebrate we planted a mini woodland with a specially made plaque to commemorate the occasion. Thanks for George for making it.  We followed it up with afternoon tea and an update on news and information.

Here's to the next 75 years!

Special Kent commemorative badges and pin badges are available to purchase from Beccy Martin.
