Kent Cubs Invade Hastings
1066 and all that! Cubs and Leaders from all over Kent invaded Hastings for the day. With a packed itinerary including visits to The Smugglers Adventure, The Blue Reef Aquarium, The Castle, The Fishermen's Museum and the RNLI station it was a busy day.
Excited Cubs happily went from attraction to attraction - "It was scary in the Smugglers and very high up at the Castle", said one Cub. Most walked from the sea-front up to the cliff, but some took the West Hill Lift - an experience not to be missed according to some.
The weather was slightly damp at times - but it didn't dampen the spirits of the Cubs - some of them even managed to go for a paddle! There were no sharks in the water though!
The Cubs got a chance to be a Norman soldier and shoot some arrows at the Castle - well at least they were firing at balloons and no-one got hit in the eye!!
Thanks to a team of volunteers from Active Support and the Cub section who all helped the day run smoothly.
