Clean for The Queen is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June 2016.
When she came to the throne litter was not the problem that it is today. Food packaging, plastic bottles, takeaway meals and cigarette butts have all contributed to a growing menace that affects our wildlife, streets, countryside and sense of pride. What better way could we show our gratitude to Her Majesty than to clean up our country?

Kent Scouts were behind this campaign and asked sections, Groups and Districts to get involved. The designated "Clean for The Queen" weekend was on March 4th, 5th and 6th 2016.

Taking part in this campaign helped young people gain Scouting awards - we've had a look and it could fit in with

Beavers - Teamwork Challenge and Personal Challenge Awards.

Cubs - Our World Challenge, Personal Challenge and Teamwork Challenge Awards as well as the Environmental Conservation Activity badge.

Scouts - Personal Challenge, Teamwork Challenge, World Challenge Awards as well as the Environmental Conservation Activity badge.

Explorer Scouts - Leadership Activity badge.

All young people can also use this experience in the Staged Activity badge - Community Impact.
