KENT CUBS ROAR AT HOWLETTS
Almost 2,500 Cubs and their Leaders invaded Howletts Wild Animal Park during the last weekend of March.
Cold and wet, bright and sunny, hail and the odd spot of snow didn’t deter anyone from having a great time. The animals all came out and some showed off.
The Cubs got the chance to face their fears and handle a snake, spider and cockroaches. Some were braver than others and even Leaders surprised themselves. The Easter egg hunt around the park proved popular and all the Cubs were eagerly seen looking for the clues to earn themselves an Easter egg at the end of the day.
Some of the Cubs got the chance to work on enrichment projects making interesting hiding places for food for the animals. The Congo Expedition team provided a whole host of different activities and painted hundreds of faces during the day, so lots of tigers went home from the park!
We donated £1000 to their funds and presented a giant cheque.
Lots of fun had by everyone and a great way to put the Out in Scouting!
