Maidstone and Malling Cub Scouts Area Event

Let me entertain you!

Over 120 Cubs from Maidstone and Malling had fun learning how to entertain!  They got together on the 19th July at Northborough School to discover their talents!

The Cubs had a go at mastering circus skills and with everyone practising spinning their plates simultaneously it created quite a site. They also got the chance to do some urban street dance, be on “Top of the Pops” with Hullabaloo Roadshow, pretend to be a clown with facepaint and dressing up.  For the more crafty minded they could make a set of juggling balls,  puppet, whizzer and rain stick.  One Cub, Alex from Loose dressed as Marcel Marceau and entertained his fellow Cubs with mime shows throughout the day.

The Cubs also learnt a Bob the Builder dance with the Maidstone Gang Show team and were encouraged to go along and take part in the show which will happen next April 2009 at the Hazlitt Theatre.

With Hullabaloo rounding off the day and the Cubs putting their talents to the test and their memories as they reprised the dances they had learnt the day came to an end.
