Kent Cub Challenge 2011
28 teams from all over Kent came to Lower Grange Farm on 14th May to battle it out to become the Kent Cub Challenge Champions of 2011. Teams took part in 21 different activities all based on "The Best of British" and naturally it included driving a racing car, having a game of cricket and preparing afternoon tea. As well as that the Cubs had a go at apple bobbing, predicting the weather, fossil hunting and of course marshmallow toasting.
The Cubs were busy all day running from base to base - all manned by Leaders and young Leaders - our thanks to all of you. We couldn't have done it without you! Thanks too for the Malling SAS who kept the tea pot full and squash flowing!
The eventual winners of the unique trophy specially made for the event, were "Thanet A" team of Oliver, Richard, Thomas and Theodore with 880 points, closely followed by "Thanet B" team with 853 points and "Romney Marsh B" with 836 points. They all went away with medals and certificates.
