World Scout Jamboree Updated
Some pictures of the Kent Contingents taken as they prepare to depart Lower Grange Farm. Following their departure they spent time in Copenhagen touring all the sites. They then made their way to the Jamboree site near Rinkaby in Sweden along with 30,000 others from all around the world. A full programme of activities awaits them.
The Kent Cub team, Bunty and Beccy along with their families have spent some time at the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden. They chatted with Scouts from all over the world and got to chat to some young people from our very own County. The young people were having a great time and were full of their adventures. The sub camps were all busy with young people sharing their experiences and talents with others. The Pavilions were bustling with visitors from all around the world and ideas were being shared and experiences of scouting from their countries. The jamboree expects to have 5,000 day visitors every day and the Kent Cub team all agreed it was fantastic!
The team paid a second visit to the jamboree on Wednesday and met up with the Kent Scout team of Dean, Lee, Darren and Jon who were also visiting. The teams caught up with the Kent contingents, toured the pavilions and chatted with Kent members of IST. There was a great atmosphere during the day, with super weather and a true Scouting spirit throughout the jamboree.
If you have any pictures and are happy to load them on the site for all to see please do send them to us at jamboree@, no need to resize them.
